Two-Tone Engravable Acrylic - Gold - Engraves Black

Remove the protective plastic film before engraving and replace it with paper masking for best results. This helps reduce residue buildup and makes post-engraving cleanup easier.

Withy glossy surfaces you can try engraving without masking on the surface layer, then gently wiping after engraving to achieve a clean, crisp finish.

Avoid engraving too deeply, as matte acrylic surfaces can be harder to clean when excess material is removed. Light to medium engraving depth will give the best contrast while preserving the surface finish.

Two-tone and three-tone engravable acrylic:

• CO2 laser engraving and cutting
• Blue diode laser engraving and cutting on 1.5 mm. Tested on an xTool S1 20 W (brushed gold, green) and a 10 W diode (white engraves red, white engraves blue). Results vary by colour, so run a test card first.
• 3 mm is a challenge for lower-power diode lasers. Our two-tone is more opaque than the regular cast acrylic we stock, which helps, but expect slow, multi-pass cuts.
• CNC router cutting

Metallic and brushed surfaces can reflect part of the beam back into the laser head and damage the lens or a diode module. Check your machine's manual on reflective materials.

Diode settings and test cards

• Clean with a soft cloth and mild cleaner.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals (like ammonia-based cleaners).
• Store away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Handle carefully to prevent scratches and chipping.
• Store vertically on a sturdy rack (at no more than a 10-degree angle) or flat with smaller pieces stacked on top to avoid warping.
