Acrylic FAQ

Choosing your cast acrylic

What laser crafters ask before starting an acrylic project.

  • What types of cast acrylic do you carry?

One of the largest cast acrylic ranges in Canada. We stock clear, solid colour, metallic, pearl, glitter, festival and designer acrylics, plus engravable two-tone (color-core) and glow-in-the-dark, along with mirror and other extruded types marked separately, in both full sheets and ready-to-use blanks. It is the palette to take a project from idea to finished piece, all in stock at our Saskatoon studio.

  • Is your acrylic cast or extruded?

Most of our acrylic is cast, which engraves to a clean frosted white and laser-cuts with smooth, polished edges, so it is the go-to for laser work. Some types are extruded and are marked separately on the product page; mirror acrylic, for example, is usually extruded. Extruded acrylic still cuts and engraves well, it just behaves a little differently, so check the listing if it matters for your project.

  • What are dual-finish acrylics?

Two finishes for the price of one. Our dual-finish acrylics have a matte face and a glossy face on the same sheet, so you can use whichever side suits your design, soft and contemporary or bright and reflective, without buying two materials. It is one of the easiest ways to add range to your work.

  • Can I combine acrylic with leatherette?

Absolutely, and it is one of the best ways to elevate a piece. Pairing engraved cast acrylic with our PU leatherette adds a tactile, layered feel to signage, keepsakes and decor: the crisp shine of acrylic against the soft texture of leatherette gives a finished, premium look you cannot get from one material alone. Mix colours and finishes to make it your own.

  • Do you sell acrylic blanks, or only full sheets?

Both. Choose full sheets to cut your own designs, or ready-to-use blanks like keychains, ornaments and signs when you want to skip straight to engraving. Sheets and blanks come in a wide span of colours and finishes.

  • Are your acrylic sheets in stock and ready to ship?

Yes. Every sheet and blank is stocked at our Saskatoon studio and ready to ship. Orders placed before 4 PM CST ship the same day across Canada and the US.
